[Solved] Update induced problem

Post by Gerrit Beltman »

OpenOffice 4.1.4 on Windows10
Last week I updated to 4.1.4.
Since the update I get Error: 509 for all calculations in my spreadsheets (additions, subtractions, divisions, multiplications)
I can't get it corrected.....

Please advise

Please attach an example of a spreadsheet that shows this problem.
Without seeing an example from you that shows the problem, I can't examine what you are working with, as the functions you have described are the most basic mathematical functions, and the error message you are reporting implies that one or more of the mathematical operators is/are missing.
See [Forum]How to attach a document here for instructions regarding uploading/attaching a document to the forum.
OpenOffice 4.1.7, LibreOffice 7.0.1.2 on Windows 7 Pro, Ultimate & Windows 10 Home (2004)

From OP to the admin mailbox:
I solved the problem.
Looking through some of the older posts on the Forum I found some earlier issues with Error: 509 relating to upgrades, where the language during upgrade installation was unintentionally changed.
Checking my worksheets I indeed found that the language was changed to Dutch.
I uninstalled OpenOffice, all the language packs, and cleaned up the registry.........
After re-installing I can conclude that the worksheets are all in good order.

Yet, this - to my humble opinion - is a bug......
LibreOffice 7.6.2.1 on Xubuntu 23.10 and 7.6.4.1 portable on Windows 10
