Switching between Gregorian or Julian or Hebrew calendars

Post by guyellis »

I noticed on a website earlier today that you can enter codes like [~gregorian]dd/mm/yy in cells in LibreOffice to choose which Calendar or Chronology to use for the date dd/mm/yy.

I have been reading up in various sites and forums (mostly on openoffice.org) about date handling and there's very good support for dates and OO is good at calculating Julian and Gregorian dates, but I can find no option, feature, function or documentation on choosing different chronologies.

Anyone know of some method I cannot find or is there something in Incubation for the future?

The following link is the code information for Libreoffice. I don't like LO and much prefer OO.
