Automatic update of diagram with a growing dataset

Post by Dozer »

Hi. First post :)

I am working with some diagrams in open office calc. The data behind these diagrams grow every day, from 5 - 10 entries pr day to hundreds per day.
In order to have these diagrams make sense, I need them updated, so that they include all of the new data.
Is there a way in openoffice to automate this funktion?

I am trying to solve it by using macros, but no luck so far

Select a larger cell range for the data range of the graph. You can fill-in the empty area of the source cell range in the future, and the graph will be refreshed automatically. Use Scatter graph for "no diplay the empty data cells".

Very nice. I had not realised one could do that.
