Hello!
I downloaded my bank account statement, but for some reason when I open it in Calc, there's lots of empty space. My question is how to move everything to the left-most columns? Let's say there's text in columns A, B, E and F, how do I get everything in the A, B, C and D columns?

Select blank column C by clicking on the C, right click and choose Delete columns from the popup. Repeat for other blank columns.

The problem is there's stuff in different columns in different rows. For example row 7 is blank in columns F-Q, but row 11 has some stuff in columns O and P. So if I just delete the column I'll lose data.RoryOF wrote:Select blank column C by clicking on the C, right click and choose Delete columns from the popup. Repeat for other blank columns.

You should have said that in the beginning.

I'm guessing that your bank statement was downloaded as a .csv file which you then import into Calc. If so, you may need to look a bit more closely at the import options for separators that you choose. As you choose or change the separator options, you can see below on the import dialog how the file will look.
Without seeing a sample of the csv I can't offer much more than that.

You were right, and now I got it the way I wanted. From 30 columns to 5, that's nice!robleyd wrote:I'm guessing that your bank statement was downloaded as a .csv file which you then import into Calc.
