How to protect cells from the record, but allow an increase in the width of the columns in protected cell?

Workaround tips:
1.: Switch OFF the sheet protection, adjust the Width of the cell, and then switch ON the protection again. (You can do it manually, or by a custom macro.)
2.: Use the Cell Styles and the "Shrink to fit cell size" option of the 'alignment' TAB. The wider contents will be appeared with smaller character size.
