How to Scroll using a touch screen in CALC

Post by ginman@cox.net »

I have a tablet with a touch screen. In Open Office 4.1.3 in Calc how do I get it to scroll up or down using my finger in the body (cell area) of the spreadsheet? All that happens now is highlighting the cells.

Just a guess, but what if you zoom way out so you have a space to scroll on that is not in the sheet? This works on my phone using the libreoffice viewer android app.

I guess most touch devices support multitouch, and most systems use two finger drag to scroll. Did you try that?

Alas, on my Getac on Windows 10, two finger doesn't work. Windows intercepts the 2 finger detect and shows the drag shadows, but no scrolling happens.

This post suggests it is not properly supported but there is a hack to work around the limitation:

It would be awfully convenient if LO/OO supported touch gestures under Windows 10
