Y axis labels on chart

I have a spreadsheet with a column for the each date of the month and another column with power consumption for that date.

On the vertical bar chart the consumption is on the x-axis and the date is on the y-axis. I would like to have the y-axis label show the day of the month because the new month billing does not start on the 1st but rather on the 24 when the meter is read. I record the daily power consumption and calculate costs based upon a formula provided by the power company.

Right now the vertical bars begin with the number 1 for the first entry in the column and end with 30 or 31 depending on the number of days in the month and I want it to pull the day from the first column which is the date.

If in the chart wizard you choose "column" rather than "bar" ?
