I have checked through a few forums and I just wanted to make sure I am finding what I am looking for.Currently I am using OpenOffice.org 3.4.1. I have a table with an image in Column A and a title in Column B. I have attempted various things and cannot get the image to properly sort (follow the title) when I want to put the information in various orders (i.e. alphabetical order).
Is there a way sort the image so it follows the title?
Currently the images scramble all over the document when I sort the table. From what I have read I cannot find a solution.
Images and Sorting
Re: Images and Sorting
Greetings and welcome to the community forum!
Sorry, no. Images in OO Calc are (almost) completely detached from the cell grid. You can "anchor" an image to a cell, but that doesn't make the image follow that cell.
For a table that includes images as part of the data, you have to use OO Writer, or OO Base (a database). You can use Calc and store a text link to an image file in the cell, but that won't display the image in the sheet. You'd have to click the link to open the image.
