Hello - I feel really silly that I am having trouble with this....
I will upload a sample spreadsheet but my data is (more or less) as follows:
time sampletime blood glucose (mg/dL) injection dose
00:00
01:00
02:00 02:04 440
03:00
04:00 04:29 457
05:00
06:00 06:10 490 0.5
07:00
08:00 08:06 430
what i need in my chart:
1) 24 hours shown on the x-axis
2) data points (preferably in one shape/color) with the time/glucose level
3) on rows with the insulin dose listed, id like the previous data point to be overlapped with a point in another color/shape
ie : the idea is to show test results at specific times over 24 hours, with the times of the insulin injections highlighted.
can anyone help me?

Re: Graphing help please! Glucose curve over 24 hours
Here's my shot at it.
I don't know of any way to make the chart show data "for the last 24 hours".
What I did:
- moved the data into a simple table: no empty rows, each row has a date+time column that serves as the x-value
- added a new sheet for entering the time period to be charted (empty defaults to past 24 hours)
- added a data column "inrange" that just checks whether the row is within the time limits
- added a data filter to collect the "inrange" rows (matching data are copied to a separate sheet for charting
This still doesn't work the way I'd hoped because there seems to be no easy way to refresh the filter when the time limits change. You have to switch to the "data" tab, do Data > Filter > Standard Filter and click OK.
I hope someone else has a better suggestion but maybe this is a start.
