Hi, I am using linux kubuntu feisty 7,06 with openoffice calc 2.2.0.

I have created a chart, I would like to extend the data range.
I should able to extend the data range in 2 ways; heither doubleclicking on the chart (the data range is showed in a blue box) and dragging the range or clicking on the edit menu in main toolbar and select chart data.

Unfortunatelly both methods do not work for me :(
The range gets highlighted but I can not drag the range
and the edit chart data in the edit manu is not active (grey).

Any idea, many thanks
Gennaro

I don't have any problem with your second method using 2.3.1 under XP. We have heard any number of reports of problems with Ubuntu versions of OOo. If you're using the kubuntu version of OOo you might want to consider updating to 2.3 or 2.4 from the official OOo site.

Have you tried the official version? [Ubuntu] Installing OOo on Debian and Co.

A third way to extend your data:
3a Insert a row/column for each newly entered record.
3b Insert new rows/columns for all records to be pasted.
This will extend formula references as well, such as =SUM($A$1:$A:9) --> =SUM($A$1:$A:9)
