I have a Calc file of 1,366KB that all of the sudden today when I tried to open it brings me to a (Text Import) box. If I click "ok" on the default settings it brings me to an empty file.

Please help.

It's originally saved as .ods so I tried to change the file extension to .zip (as I found suggested elsewhere on the forum) but trying to open that gives me an "Invalid" Folders Error

I've read a bit elsewhere on the forum and currently assume I'm SOL. Is there any way to recover any of the data from one of these corrupted files?

See: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1532

If you can put the damaged file on a file-sharing site and post a link here, I expect someone will take a look at it for you.

I was able to open the file however it is completely blank. Win 7's built in zip utility said the file was not valid when I renamed it to problem file.zip.

Libre opened it in Draw, blank, AOO in Writer with all # - a sign that the file has been damaged beyond repair. See 22 pages term paper replaced with pound signs.
