Opening many documents as "Save Workspace" in Excel?

Postby kris p » Sun Jun 22, 2008 2:23 am

Can Calc open many documents at one time as Excel can by creating an .xlw to "save workspace"? If not, is there a convenient way to open a number of documents without having to open them one at a time?

If you can manage to have all your documents in the same explorer window, either because they are in the same folder or you did a search that returns all of them, you can select all of them and press Enter. It will open all the documents one by one, which is a standard Windows feature that works with most of the software.

There is no OOo function to save your workspace.

If you can manage to keep all the files in one folder, you can use
startOOo

The module simulates the behaviour of XLSTART folder, if assigned to the event of Ooo's program start

Windows link files (*.lnk) won't work.
