Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? V 2.4
What Operating System (version) are you using? Vista
What is your question or comment? I opened a spreadsheet in OO (calc) that was created in excel 2003, the hyperlinks that were words like "Go to" or "Summary" still work but hyperlinks that are a linked cell(number) from a different sheet do not work ???

Sorry but I don't understand your explanation. Why not upload a short example of what you mean.

One topic. Two possibly (not) related issues.

Guys, I can't replicate either and with you providing more details or an example then we can't help you. I've attached a little test that I did. Two XLS files both with a hyperlink in; one with a link to the other. Both created in Excel 2003 and open fine in OOo 2.4.1. Now you tell me why your issues are different.
