Hi everyone!
I am importing data from a csv file, with decimal numbers. Thing is, these decimal numbers come with a dot separating the parts (ex.: 20.45), instead of the comma (ex.:20,45). Thing is, if the number has a dot, the program doesn't recognize it as a number, and I'm not able to do any calculus...
Is there a quick way for me to change the dot to a comma in every cell? I would do it by hand, but I have about 1000 rows, with 4 cells of numbers each... that might become a formidable task and time is of the essence...
I searched around and didn't find a topic that covered this subject...
Thanks for any help..

Re: Problems with comma/dot in numbers
In the import dialog you can set the decimal separator (English) and date format for each column.
You can change the already imported values by replacing all dots with commas within the selected cells.
Select the numeric text values
Menu:FInd&Replace
[More Options]
[X] Current selection only
Search: .
Replace: ,
[Replace All]
No, formatting will never change nor convert any values.
