[Solved] Copy formula without changing references?

Post by keats »

How do you set a static variable so when you copy a formula from one cel to another the variable doesn't change.

I old lotus 123 it was "!" . . . for example =B4+!C4

I the above equation if I copy it from one cel to the next the "C" won't change. Is there something equivalent in calc?

I have no idea what to call this even to look it up in help. . . to me its "setting a constant" or "setting a static variable" . . .

Thanks in advance

The $ sign performs that function in Calc
OOo 3.3 on Windows 7 & 3.2.1 on Mint 10
