My PC crashed and on restart Calc recovered the file i was working on .... but it recovered to a date one month ago!
Can i discard this recovery and get back to the file i opened this morning?

Re: Recovery
Go to Tools > Options, then section Load/Save > General, and see whether the box "Always create a backup copy" is checked.
If yes, search for a file on your hard disk that has the same filename with the extension ".BAK" in the folder defined in the same Tools > Option dialog, under OpenOffice.org > Paths. This file is the same before you started your last set of changes, so simply make a copy and change the extension to ".ods".
If not, then I am afraid that your old file is the best you can get.

Re: Recovery
I'm am not persuaded that "Recovery" has been fixed. Disable it and save your work more often.

Re: Recovery
If you've not overwritten the original file with the recovered one, what the former looks like?
