MS Excel 2003 XML filter failed

Hi,

I'm trying to open in Calc a MS Excel 2003 spreadsheet saved on XML format.

Calc only shows XML tags in the first column, without decode them.

When I try to probe MS Excel 2003 XML import filter (from menu-bar: Tools / XML filter configuration), Calc shows only one blank sheet.

An example file is attached on this post.

Any idea would be appreciate.

Thanks in advanced.

Fernando

No program can do anything with that file since it is not valid XML (at least this is what FIrefox tells me about it).

Thanks a lot Villeroy,

I have solved syntax bugs in the original xml file, and I can view it in my browser (FireFox) without mistakes.

However, when I try to open it with Calc, I get the same effect: xml tags are showed in the first column of the spreadsheet without decoding.

An example file is attached on this post.

Again, any idea would be appreciate.

Thanks in advanced.

Afraid I can't open that file in FF I get the following error message

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. (I've not posted the tree)

I can open the file in Excel 2007, and if I do a straight save the file opens in Calc so that would seem to be do to something Excel 2003 is doing. Still get that error message in FF though.
