Hello,
Using 3.1.1
I have a large spreadsheet (about 650 records or rows by 50 cols or data elements) in which I maintain alumni information for my provincial branch in .xls format.
I get regular branch updates in .xls format from a national source - these updates are in the form of a total dump of branch info.
My spreadsheet includes the contents of the national spreadsheet plus many data fields unique to my province
I must determine what records have been added, deleted or changed in the last month and change my database accordingly
I presently do this process manually and it takes forever and is prone to errors as my eyes and brain get tired
Is there a software means of doing this? I do not have access to a recent version of Excel altho I do have Excel 97 - many comparison programs need Excel 2000 or later
Thanks,
Preston

work for you with Calc?

I know this is an old thread, but it seems to still be applicable.
allexperts.com appears to have gone away, probably in 2017 or 2018, but the page you linked to is still available on Wayback (archive.org).
