Call template from command line

Post by bhughesiii »

I have a client who runs a portfolio application via ssh on the commandline in foxpro. They need to have reports generated. I was thinking of creating a template with a macro that would pull in data from the file generated and have the template print out the report. Is it possible to call the template via commandline, have it run the macro to populate the report and print it out?

Please read the survival guide for the forum. You question is rather unspecific (yes, of course you can write all kinds of macros, there is even a bridge to foxpro) and possibly it is in the wrong forum. If you need database reports, then the Base component may be able to import your database. If you have to write your own program, then you should use the Base forum, possibly the forum about external data sources
