Paste Special to convert formula to value doesn't
Paste Special to convert formula to value doesn't
have a check box for value. If I check every box but 'formula', the formula result converts to text. If I uncheck the formual and text boxes it returns a blank cell. What am I missing?

Uncheck Text, Formulas. Check Numbers. Works for me.

I'd bet the formula returns a text value. Test: =ISNUMBER(A1) or =ISTEXT(A1)SUNFAIR wrote:have a check box for value. If I check every box but 'formula', the formula result converts to text. If I uncheck the formual and text boxes it returns a blank cell. What am I missing?
If the formula is supposed to return a number, you can wrap it in function VALUE. =VALUE(<formula>) fails with error #VALUE if the result of the inner formula can not be converted to number.
