Saving to multiple locations

Post by Bob »

Other than repeatedly using Save As or Copy and Paste, is there a way to save a document to multiple locations?

A macro should do that easily.

As a starter, that thread could give you some hints: AutoSave template child doc to defined subdirectory (on oooforum).

JohnV also contributes here, you can post your question in the macro forum here, detailing your precise need.

I've also found that thread that should be easier to adapt: macro to save in three formats (still on oooforum).

I usually use a 2-panel file manger to drag and drop files from one location to another.

Thanks for the responses. I don't have a clue as to how to enable or use the macro function. I would appreciate some help on that.

I did manage to figure out a way to save a document to multiple locations with a batch file. Plus my keyboard has an Enhanced Mode which enables me to set up hotkeys. I've set it so that when I press the F12 key it runs my batch file and saves my document to 4 locations.
