[Solved] Counting in Ascending Order

Postby Fahim » Fri Jan 18, 2008 5:13 pm

Before i used MS Office in that i use a format in one cell like this one "ADD-01-1234" when i drag it it will form each cell in like this ADD-01-1235
ADD-01-1236
ADD-01-1237
but i tried the same thing using openoffice calc but it is going in reverse like this
ADD-01-1235
ADD-01-1234
ADD-01-1233
Can anybody help out to fix this one.

Thanks in Advance

Formatting (Format>Cells...) like this
Code: Select all   Expand viewCollapse view
"ADD-01-"#
, then entering numerical 1234 into the cell does the trick in OOo

Or fill in the first two rows manually,
ADD-01-1234
ADD-01-1235
then select them both and drag fill down. Calc gets it right then.

Calc is counting up: -1235, -1234, -1233, ...

Just enter the first two items in the series manually:
ADD-01-1234
ADD-01-1235

Select those and then drag the fill handle. Calc will follow your pattern and count down.
