Edit a DataPilot table

Post by swoop »

Hi

I'm new to DataPilot and I'm trying to edit an already existing table.

My problem is no matter how I'm trying to edit the table I only get a new wizard. According to the chapter 6 in the Calc guide it should be possible by either:

- right click on a cell and select Start or
- select a cell and select Data / DataPilot / Start

Both ways give me a clean DataPilot wizard and not the current layout I expected.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Select any cell in the pilot (not in the source table) and call "Refresh" from the context-menu or from Menu:Data>Pilot>Refresh

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Unfortunately your suggestion doesn't give me the opportunity to modify my pilot. In fact if I choose the refresh command it clears my pilot completely and only shows me: (empty)

You removed the data from where you derived the pilot? A pilot is a representation of another table. You edit the other table and refresh the pilot, so it reflects the changes in the source table. Editing a pilot makes no sence since it is ther result of another table. You would not want to change the result of =SUM(A1:A10) and when you remove or clear A1:A10 SUM(A1:A10) will not work anymore.
