Read-only behaviour in *.ots?

Post by maxqnz »

I'm not sure if this is a quirk of Novell's go-oo or not, but I was sure that in the past when I saved a file as *.ots, clicking "save" brought up the "Save As" dialogue, and offered *.ods as the default option. This was more convenient than setting the *.ots attribute to read-only, since if that's done, the file can't be edited at all. Has this behaviour changed, or is this the way it's always been?

I don't have your version but if you save as .ots then open from Recent Docs you will open the actual file instead of getting UntitledX (this is not new). Instead open from File > Open and see if you get the behavior you expect.
