We are trying to switch users over to OpenOffice instead of Microsoft Office. One complaint i hear a lot is "it requires more work/clicks" to do things, so hopefully somone can help me resovle this...
In Excel when you print you click File->print and the printer dialog comes up, if you want to print landscape you just click "properties" on the printer and the printer driver dialog comes up, once you change it to landscape it will change it in excel for the document to be landscape.
In Openoffice this dosn't seem to be the case, it will still print portrait even if the driver things it suppose to print landscape. We have to go to Format->page->page and change it to landscape there first...
any idea to speed this up or make it behave like in Excel?
calc page setup/orientation
Re: calc page setup/orientation
No, you don't set the printer to landscape. You set certain parts of your document to "landscape". Menu:Format>Page... affects all print pages of the selected sheet. Once you are familiar with the concept of styles, you'll need less clicks.
