Hi,
I could not do Insert Cut Rows/ columns in Open Office Calc as we do in MS Office Excel. Can you tell a way to do it.
Thanks.

You are right, OOo is limited in this domain. You can only do basic insertion/deletion: position yourself on the contiguous row(s)/column(s) you want to insert/delete and then right click in the selected area to perform the action.

You cannot insert rows/columns when there are merged cells. You cannot "insert then copy" like in Excel. I think I have seen an add-on that extends the feature, let me do a quick search on this...... Here it is! http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/node/1798

You can select a row/column, grab the selected cell range (not row/column header) and drop it holding the Alt key. This will insert the moved range. Ctrl+Alt+Drop will insert a copy.

And we should see improvement in OOo 3.2.0 (due hopefully mid-December 2009) as it will allow insertion and deletion of rows or columns inside a merged area.
