Last week, I upgraded from LibreOffice 7.1.4 to 7.1.5 (I routinely upgrade when a newer version is released). I was shocked to see the spreadsheet I need daily displaying serious errors. I took all standard steps (uninstall, reinstall, shutdown, restart, check other spreadsheets, etc.) to no avail. The display continues to be erroneous - and many times different (the LO logo doesn't display each time, but the grayed/blacked out area does - for the most part). I have been dealing with this for several days (feels like years)!
I uninstalled version 7.1.5 and reinstalled version 7.1.4, but that did not change the outcome - even though version 7.1.4 ran perfectly fine before I upgraded to version 7.1.5. In the hope of resolving the "instability" of the newer versions, I uninstalled all of them, and installed LO 7.0.6 ("stable version"); however, I continued to get the fancy errors.
As a desperate measure, I installed the latest Portable version of LO (7.1.4) - and got the relief I was looking for: the same spreadsheet which was giving me a fancy erroneous display opened "normally" with Portable version 7.1.4!
I am planning to "File a bug" on the LO "Testing - QA" website. In the interim, I am requesting assistance/answers to my questions, please.
Questions:
Am I the only privileged one to get these fancy displays?
Is this a LO issue, my laptop issue, or both?
Most importantly, what is the solution to this problem?
All help will be greatly appreciated.
Note: I had to shave off the image to meet file size limitations.

Re: Errors in Calc - LO Version 7.1.5
On the screenshot II see a heavily formatted sheet. I don't know how it looks under normal conditions. My sheets look fine with LO 7.1.5 on LInux, however I avoid heavy formatting on all my sheets. You have to upload a document which shows the problem on your computer. Then we can open the same document on different systems with different office versions.

Re: Errors in Calc - LO Version 7.1.5
I have uploaded the file; I have deleted the 20+ sheets and private data that the original file contained. A version of the error is still visible. What I see when using "regular" LO 7.1.5 and Portable LO 7.1.4 are quite different.

The file looks identically with AOO, LO 6.0 and LO 7.1.5 on Linux.

Thank you for the support, Villeroy.
Based on your findings, the problem may be at my end. I wonder what accounts for the differences in view when using "regular" LO vs Portable LO.
