[Solved] Calc converts '05/04/1999 to date number
Could not find a function to convert to date (win10 number)
DATE text DATE TRANSACTION ID DESCRIPTION QUANTITY SYMBOL
05/04/2021 34591480999 Sold 24 LASR
I considered string extraction but could not find a way to convert concatenated to number.
Search "calc convert '05/04/1999 to date number" brought nothing.
Considering the age of csv file format a solution might exist.
Thanks for help.

OO 4.1.6 on Win10. Member since StarOffice 7. Alternative name "morphingstar2" when other fails. Use Writer, Calc (as DB + Calc), Draw. Impress mainly for Eyedropper and animating GIFs. Updated 20190716.

In the text import dialog you specify how to interprete data.
Language should be English (USA) because of the US dates. English (Canada) makes sense with currency symbol CAD.
The dates to be imported is not Y-M-D. It is M/D/Y.
With the right language setting you don't need column specific settings unless there are exceptions.
