[Solved] Multiplying multiple cells by the same number
I want to multiply multiple cells (C2 through C37) by 800 and have the results displayed in another range of cells (D2 through D37). I've searched through some forum posts but I can't quite get it to work. Is there a formula I can copy and paste in each of the D-column cells that would work without having to change information in each cell, or will I have to alter the information in each cell where the results are displayed?

In D2 write
Copy and paste that cell into D3:D37.
Code: Select all
=C2*800

Re: Multiplying multiple cells by the same number
That just returns the results of the C2 cell wherever I paste the formula. Will I have to change each cell number individually, or is there a single formula I can paste without having to change each cell individually? My apologies if I'm not being clear, I'm not even sure how to ask for what I need to know.

Now select the D2 cell, and pull down using the little black box at bottom right corner of the cell.
