[Solved] Filtering without using the Filter in Tools

Post by Mandy22 »

Hi! I'm actually not that familiar in using openoffice calc but can anyone help me?

In Column A there are 3 categories: Red, Blue and Green. What I need is to get all the Red ones and the rows with the data. I found a formula =FILTER(A2:C6,ISNUMBER(SEARCH("rd",A2:C6)),"No results") but when I tried this it's not working.

Example:

Code: Select all

Column A Column B Column C
Red 5 1-156
Blue 6 1-12458
Green 11 1-1358
Blue 6 1-542
Red 4 1-5632
Red 3 1-43201

Place the cursor in the data range and turn on the autofilter (menu "Data"). Expand the AutoFilter, uncheck all the boxes, and select only the item you want. LO Calc has no FILTER function.
