I have a very simple spreadsheet. (because I don't know much).
Basically three columns. B,C,D.
In B I add together a fixed amount and the amount found in column C from one row higher.
In C I add together B and D
That's all. But it works fine. It shows the start amount for that week in B, being the fixed amount plus 'leftover' from the previous week.
And it shows the 'leftover' for this week in C being that start amount less any input from D.
But if I get inputs during the week and insert rows to all for them then the formula don't work any more and I have to resort to doing it all by hand.
I would just like to find a way to keep it all automated if I can.
Here is the spreadsheet: http://abrogard.com/tinytwo.ods

Rearrange your layout so you do not need to insert rows when you have varying numbers of inputs in a week. If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.abrogard wrote:But if I get inputs during the week and insert rows to all for them then the formula don't work any more and I have to resort to doing it all by hand. Well that's lovely. Elegant you might even say.
Thanks a lot for that. I will adopt it I think.
