The result of two cells could be a plus or a minus. What formula sign would I use to calculate. For example cell 1 is 25 cell 2 is 10. or cell 1 is 10 and cell 2 is 25.
Thanks.

Re: show a plus or minus result
Right click on the cell that is to contain the calculation, choose Format Cells from the popup, then the Numbers tab. In Category box choose Number and your desired format in the Format box. Start with General. If you wish negative numbers red, check that box as well.

Thanks. My question is really about the RESULTS of a formula. If the result is negative it should show a - , if positive no sign. I know that there is a simple answer out there. Your post was helpful for other reasons.

The Results of a formula show in the cell in which that formula is placed, so the formatting I describe will apply to that result, as normally a formula is not displayed.
