Hi,
I have just downloaded open office as my Microsoft office program has disappeared from my pc. I can open all my docs except one. It was a password protected spreadsheet . When I go to open it it asks for a filter.
Which one do I use I have tried a couple but get an error. Or is there no way I can open my spreadsheet now?
Thanks.

Re: how to open password protected xls
Try the LibreOffice. At least a portable version of it.

Re: how to open password protected xls
Are you sure it was originally Saved as Password protected, or are you assuming that because it is now asking you to choose an ASCII filter?
