[Solved] data series on non-consequent cells

Postby usr01 » Sat May 09, 2020 7:18 pm

Hi, all. I need to create a data series of the days of the month. However, they need to be in non consequent cells, so I can't use the dragging method. I need to insert each day of a month in cells that are a few cells apart from each other - for instance, if i start with may 1, I need to get may 2 5 cells later and so on. Is there a way to do this, or I just have to fill them manually in each respective cell?

Enter the starting date in cell A1. In Cell A6 enter the formula
Code: Select all   Expand viewCollapse view
=A1 + 1

Highlight the cells A6:A10 and then copy them with them by pressing CTRL + C.
Highlight the range A11:A151 and paste the previously copied cells by pressing CTRL + V.

That should give you the series you want.
Windows 10 and Linux Mint, since 2017
