i have a LONG list of names - all within one cell/column... i need to separate them to make 2 columns. is there any easy way to do so, i've not found one.
ie: JOHN SMITH needs to become "JOHN" "SMITH" ... in two separate cells
any help would be welcome, i do not want to spend days duplicating columns and erasing 1/2 in each. thanks in advance.

As long as you have two words per cell, [Tutorial] Text to Columns will do this easily. Of course it has no way to distinguish cases like Nancy Ann Cianci (two word first name) and Martin Van Buren (two word last name).
If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can select the green checkmark icon at the same time.
