[Solved] Set formatting automatically when pasting in Calc

Postby newguy123 » Thu May 07, 2020 5:49 pm

Hi folks, this forum has been such a valuable source over the years. I've always found everything I needed here, to solve my issues in OpenOffice, without having to ask questions. Until now!

I have a template for quoting and invoicing clients, which is just a sheet with formulas. I sometimes copy and paste information into cells in that sheet. However, most often, the text I'm copying is formatted differently. So when I paste it, I have to manually reformat it. Is there a way to set my sheet up so that the text being pasted is automatically formatted the same as it would be if I were to manually enter it?

Thank you!

Welcome to the Forums.
The easiest way to do this, is to use the Paste Special (Ctrl+Shift+V) and ensure that the Format option is unchecked.
OpenOffice 4.1.7 and LibreOffice 6.3.3.2 on Windows 7 Pro & Ultimate
