[TIP] How to produce smaller PDF files + 'Fast web view'

Post by ChessPub »

After you've produced your PDF file using 'Export to PDF', open it in the free Acrobat Reader (current version XI) and then 'File', 'Save as' (using the current file name). This will reduce the size quite significantly (I've been getting reductions of 20%-40%) and also add 'Fast web view' without any loss of quality.

Actually, on some larger files I've even been getting losses of well over 40%, approaching 50%, a quite surprising decrease.

Actually, after you've opened the PDF file, pressing Shift + Ctrl + S is even quicker.
