Fatal Error -- Index out of bounds

Post by cafox513 »

Recently installed Mac OS 10.15 and sometimes (!) run into this problem:

OpenOffice 4.1.7 -- Fatal Error
Index out of bounds
OK

Document disappears, but the recover offer pops up and each time so far the doc has been successfully retrieved. Is there a way around this?

What a file type and size it happened with?

A tip:
Try the LibreOffice.

Will try LibreOffice. In the meantime, this happens on small Writer 4.1.7 files (largest <350Kb). Straight copy basically, sometimes an italicized word. Quotes used. This happens when saving after adding text.
