[Solved] Huge gray area on left side of display

I have a huge gray area to the left of my text margins. Please see attached screen shot. How can I correct this? I have tried restoring default settings for Writer, perhaps there is another place? This condition just appeared yesterday. Thank you.

Click on leftmost of the three little icons at bottom right of the document window - a single page. Adjust the scaling by the slider to their right.
