12 hour format in Footer

Post by JillD »

How do I change the time format when it's added in a footer? It's now showing in a 24 hour format if I have it automatically inserted by clicking on the clock icon. I would like to have it printed/displayed in a 12 hour format in the footer with the AM or PM after it. Thanks.

Position cursor immediately in front of the Field - it helps if you show /View /Field Shading, Right Click and select Fields from the popup. Now choose the time format you want from the options available on the window.

The default time format seems to be linked to the language setting at the insertion point when the time field is inserted. If I have the language set to English (USA) when I insert the time field, the time is displayed in 12-hour format. If the language is set to English (UK) when I insert the time field, the time is displayed in 24-hour format.
