Want document name shown on document?

Post by caci »

Good Morning - At one time I was able to have document name displayed in document. (Probably way back in Word Perfect days!) Are we able to do that in Open Office?

Thank you.

Look at the top left hand corner of your screen. The name of the active file will be shown there.
If it isn't, please upload/attach a screenshot so that we can see what is shown in that location.
If you are referring to something else as the document name and/or were wanting it in a different location, please clarify.

Enter Document title in /File /Properties :Description tab, Title; then wherever you /Insert /Field : Title, your dcument title will appear.

If you want File name use /Insert /Fields /Other : Document tab, select Filename from the Type column and the options you require from the Format column.
