P.S. the extension does not do what you expect it to do. There is only one (rather expensive) software designed to edit PDF. PDF is not meant to be editable. The extension tries its very best to interprete PDF as a vector graphic with stripes and rectangles of text. It interpretes PDF as a drawing and loads the drawing into the Draw component. I just add this remark since you posted in the Writer forum.
PDF is a file format that lets you view a print preview of anything printable from any software that is able to print. You can export anything printable to PDF and the PDF looks like an exact print preview on any device, even on your smart phone where you can install a free PDF viewer
