Embedding AOO spreadsheet into Writer doc?

I'm trying to make an OO text document that could be more valuable to me if I could embed an OO spreadsheet into it. Is that at all possible, or is there a workaround for this? Thanks for any help.

Do you need the sheet dynamic, or static?

Thanks for responding, Rory. I'd like them dynamic; I know how to put a static picture of them in (or at least I did w/ MS Word, and I expect I could with OO Write). Is that possible?

Probably best to use OLE embedding - I don't do this, so can only point you to the existence of the method and suggest you consult the Help files.

When a pop-up window opens, click the Help button for extensive help on that function - it is often more comprehensive than the manual.

Like Rory I do not use them but at its simplest copy the area of the spreadsheet that is to go into the Writer table, do Paste Special > DDE link and see what happens. A change in the spreadsheet should be reflected in the Writer file.

That's the limit of my knowledge.
