I don't know why I am having trouble with this - I've done numbering before. I know how to offset.
But this morning I have a document, put in a footer, went to Insert, Fields, Page number.
But instead of page numbering it just puts "Page numbers" repeated in all the footer fields. I can't get it to do numbers, just this "Page numbers" repeat.
What on earth is going on?

No, you must have clicked on it, whether deliberately or inadvertently.

Press F1 to access the Help screen and search for your problem
