I would love to Upgrade to 4... But 4 hasn't Spell Ck
I am OLD, BLIND, and don't have the strength to use the Braille typewriter. As a result, I depend on the spell checker to catch me when I have those nearly right words. That is the only reason I don't go to the latest version. Any hope in getting it back???

Of course AOO 4.1.5 has a spellchecker. No-one would download or use it if it did not!
I copied the words in your post to AOO and misspelled some of the words. As you can see my English GB dictionary found all the errors.
Download AOO from this web site http://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html and select your language.
Showing that a problem has been solved helps others searching so, if your problem is now solved, please view your first post in this thread and click the Edit button (top right in the post) and add [Solved] in front of the subject.

If the spellchecker doesn't work with OO 4.1.5 "out of the box", come back and we'll help you make the slight adjustment sometimes needed to get it to work.
