What shadow did you meant? The character style related shadow?
Yes, you can apply shadow to the characters in the Writer application.
- the color of the shadow?
- the distance and/or the position of the shadow?
You can use alternate/different character styles in a text (by a lot of working hours) with different settings.
You can adjust almost the properties of the character but not the properties of the shadow.
Or you can try the Draw application, and then copy/paste the graphical result into the textual document...
