Page size too small to read

Post by searcher »

I just installed OO 4.1.5 on windows 10
when I try to open a new document the document is 1/3 my screen size. showing the width of ..? either 20cm or 20 inches within that 1/3rd size area for working on. ..
how do i correct this to make the default size as 8.5"
(I tried to paste a print screen so everyone could see what i am talking about here, but wasn't permitted)

Use Format > Page > Page to set the page size. The default page size is determined by your locale setting. For English (USA), the default page size is 8.5" x 11". If the "page size is too small to read", changing the page size won't make it large enough to read. For that you have to use View > Zoom to change the size of the screen image without changing the page size.

Try /View /Zoom : 100% to start with, or use the slider or % box at bottom right of OO window; if no slider visible, turn on Status Bar (/View /Status bar).
