Printing text, labels

Hi just downloaded "Open Office " I have a blank labels template , I want to print names on the labels, but can't get the text on to the label , I have tied the"help" been into Impress but no
luck, can you advise please

I believe you just type directly onto one of the label cells, and if you're doing the same content for all the labels, like a return address, then you press the Synchronize button.

If you're doing mailing labels and want to bring in the addressee address into each label that will have differenent information for each one, then you need to do a Shft-Ctrl-F4 which will bring up a Base screen. You then click on the database name and the table name to connect the Writer document with the Base file.
