[Solved] Format Error discovered in the file in sub-document

Post by Msmith »

I was sending my thesis back and forth with my supervisor, and it came to our attention the document will no longer open correctly, we are both getting this error: "Format Error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml". This is a bit of a problem as I have been working on this essay for months, so if somebody could help I would really appreciate it. I attached the corrupted document below, if you need anything else to help let me know. I really appreciate it. :)

You are like a god. I would name my first born after you if I were interested in having children. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. :)

This is a bug in AOO, but not in LO, when track changes is ON and a user deletes two comments each of which is attached to a range of characters.

See Issue 128356 - Track Changes and Annotations on text range can cause corruption. Applies to 4.x (all versions?)
LO 6.4.4.2, Windows 10 Home 64 bit

See the Writer Guide, the Writer FAQ, the Writer Tutorials and Writer for students.

Remember: Always save your Writer files as .odt files. - see here for the many reasons why.
