Hi and welcome to the forum.

I had no problem opening the file with Apache OpenOffice 4.1.4 and Ubuntu 16.4. I got a 6 page document with figures.


Both your version of OpenOffice and Ubuntu are ancient in software terms. It might be a good idea to upgrade to the most modern AOO and Ubuntu.

It is not clear to me how you managed to save the file in .docx format if you are using OOo 2.4.
